
UX Procurement Solution
Novartis is looking for a topnotch seamless UX solution that
enables employees to better navigate through the complexity
of procurement processes and to simplify the user procurement
journey across applications.
Challenge Details
Novartis is looking for a solution that can support (internal) users (around 20.000 different internal stakeholders) to better navigate through the complexity of procurement processes and to simplify the user experience across the applications the user is requested to use to complete his/her procurement journey.
Selection Criteria
- Configurable Platform or Launching Solution: The solution should either consist of a developed configurable platform with limited deployment for Novartis or should be a early stage idea that is looking for a launching customer with (limited) co-development efforts.
- Single point of entry: All business users should refer for any procurement processes first to this platform that navigates them to the right path and application.
- Level of automation in solution: Buying rules are automatically applied and route the transaction to an appropriate path
- User and service team possibilities: The user and services teams have productive visibility to requests, with status and stages
- Integration: The solution should be able to provide flexibility in integrating with different applications present in the current landscape of Novartis such as S/4 Hana, Ariba, ServiceNow, Procurement Data Lake (Formula One).

Background
As part of Novartis Procurement’s digitalisation roadmap of the procurement function, they are in looking for solutions and innovations to improve the function and performance for it’s internal users.
Through this initiative, they want to take their cooperation with tech companies to the next level. This will be accomplished through a structured platform for cooperation and collaboration between the Novartis Procurement team and technology providers.
